A visit to the Church of Peace and the Square of Peace is a journey in time. A visit to our Baroccafe is a journey around Lower Silesia and its wonderful flavours.

We believe in the idea behind the Slow Food movement, and as such, the food we serve comes from local producers in our region. The products come from small Lower-Silesian ecological farms, cheese makers, bakeries and vineyards. Some of them have been inscribed on the ministry’s list of traditional products.

We encourage our guests to try great cheeses made from cow’s and goat’s milk, wholemeal bread on rye ferment, cold meats made from Mangalica pigs, gingerbread made with buckwheat honey, aronia jam and Silesian beer & wine. We guarantee top quality produce and a cosy atmosphere. The Baroccafe is located in the old Gatekeeper’s Houseman’s house. For a time at the beginning of the 18th century, it was the home of an exceptional lodger, Benjamin Schmolck, who was a pastor of Świdnica and a poet. He wrote 1200 songs that are still being sung by Lutherans all over the world.

The atmosphere of this place deserves to be experienced with all senses
